Is it a coincidence? I do not think so. This morning two of my good friends shared their stories.
1) How she met an old lady during breakfast. The old lady was in tears, weak and wearing a crumpled baju kurung. Apparently her kid is sick and she has no one to turn to. Without thinking much, my friend did an XO (Extra-Ordinary) gesture. She gave her breakfast and some money to the old lady. Which the old lady immediately raised her hand to Allah S.W.T. thanking for that “huge” miracle. For someone that do not have much and in need, that “small” gesture is really “huge”.
Guess what? That day, her team sales rocketed sky high. (In her own words, “Sales mencurah-curah). Two powers at work. The power of prayers (doa) and the Power of Giving (Sedekah).
2) This story is also interesting. “Sedekah Subuh”. The game plan is such that every morning after Subuh prayers, one put aside some money into a “Tabung Sedekah Subuh”. One must pray (doa) that Allah S.W.T. will reward us for our alms (Sedekah). At the end of the month, count the money in the “tabung”, and buy some food to donate to the needy. It was told, whoever starts to practice this daily, will be rewarded in manifold of rewards from Allah S.W.T. From my friend own words, her friends that started this practice, their rezeki in many ways grows. In terms of getting better jobs, flourishing business, not to mention contented life and happiness.
So share me your stories of giving alms (sedekah) and prayers (doa). Who knows that “small” story of yours will give a “great” impact on someone else life?
